The Beggining Your Darkzone was created on 15 August 2001 and it's URL was
http://anzwers.org/trade/thedarkzone. It was first named 'The Darkzone' and it
didn't even look like now - it wasn't a commercial page,it was just an amateur
web page.It had between 20-40 unique visitors per month.
Soon,in 31 October 2001,the site moved to it's current location:
http://yourdarkzone.tripod.com and the reason was the strong limitations of
Anzwers(you cannot upload MP3s,EXEs,you cannot use FTP etc.). Anzwers
was a neat place to start a site,but wasn't a place to maintain a site.
Tripod seemed like a great place - you were allowed to use FTP,you didn't have
all those silly limitations and you recived a large amount of space(50MB) and
bandwidth(1GB).
At Tripod 'The Darkzone' was renamed to 'Your Darkzone' and in December
there were 66 unique visitors which was record for the site.
Maybe the reason was the new design?
